This page applies to the Standard Widget and the MultiProduct Widget, the only services that locate visitors by IP address. The Store Locator and the Shop only use the visitor's browser location, which the browser asks permission for, or an address the visitor enters. The Cart Widget doesn't locate visitors.

To locate visitors by their IP address (GeoIP), the widget needs their consent. To enable this feature, declare Click2Buy in your consent management platform (CMP).

Without consent, the widget still works: visitors can share their location through their browser, or enter an address. Locating them by IP address is just quicker.

How it works

You declare a Click2Buy vendor in your CMP.
When the widget needs to locate a visitor, our script checks in your CMP whether the visitor has accepted Click2Buy.
If so, the widget locates them by IP address.

Once your CMP is configured, contact your Customer Success Manager to enable the consent feature on your widgets.

Vendor name

Our script finds the Click2Buy vendor by its exact name or ID, as given in each guide below (usually click2buy). Don't change it.
